The Minister of Social Solidarity witnesses the conduct of the electronic lottery to select 12,000 pilgrims
Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Foundation for Hajj Facilitation, witnessed the conduct of the public electronic lottery to select pilgrims from civil society organizations for the Hajj season 1446 AH – 2025 AD, in the presence of Dr. Ali Gomaa, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Foundation for Hajj Facilitation, and Representative Ahmed Fathi, Deputy Committee representative. Solidarity in the House of Representatives, Dr. Talaat Abdel Qawi, President of the General Union of Associations and Civil Foundations and member of the House of Representatives, and Mr. Ayman Abdel Mawjoud, Permanent Representative To the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Executive Director of the National Foundation for Hajj Facilitation, Dr. Muhammad Al-Aqabi, Assistant Minister of Social Solidarity for Strategic Communication and Information, the representative of the Administrative Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Interior, and members of the Board of Trustees of the National Foundation for Hajj Facilitation.
< p>An electronic lottery was conducted to select 12,000 pilgrims, which is the quota for Hajj by private associations for this season, allocated by the Supreme Committee for Hajj, headed by His Excellency the Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, where more than 41 thousand male and female citizens were registered through the unified portal for Hajj.
The Minister of Social Solidarity said that 12,000 visas were allocated to the Ministry of Social Solidarity for members of civil society organizations out of the total number of Hajj visas this year. Which will be implemented by the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Dr. Maya Morsi explained that the electronic lottery was conducted today on the unified Hajj portal, which is supervised by the Ministry of Interior and the Hajj sector. Administrative affairs, which allow the citizen to be registered in only one place in the application, whether for Hajj, civil society organizations, or tourism, are conducted without any human intervention at all, and the percentage allocated to each governorate was chosen according to the percentage of the number of applications.

The Minister of Social Solidarity indicated that more than 41 thousand citizens, male and female, submitted a Hajj request to civil society organizations, which places a great responsibility on the Foundation’s Board of Trustees in choosing the best programs for this year at reasonable prices, and distinguished services, whether in hotels, supervision, or Means of transportation and rituals.
Dr. Maya Morsi added that there is complete coordination between the Ministries of Social Solidarity and the Ministry of Health in conducting a medical examination on the pilgrims who won the lottery to ensure the safety of their health in accordance with the requirements. Announced, clinics will also be allocated at the pilgrims’ residence, whether in Mecca or Medina, to provide health care to pilgrims throughout the journey and follow up Their condition.
The Minister of Social Solidarity indicated that the Ministry, through the National Foundation for Hajj Facilitation, is seeking during the coming period to organize Umrah trips at competitive prices throughout the year.
Ayman Abdel Mawjoud, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity and Executive Director of the National Foundation for Hajj Facilitation, said that within the framework of meeting the wishes of citizens who are members of civil society associations; The Minister of Social Solidarity directed that standards be set by the Board of Trustees of the National Hajj Facilitation Foundation to organize 3 Hajj programs according to the following:
– First level..«Five-star hotels in the Holy Mosque in Mecca».
>- Second level.. “Classified hotels 750 meters away from the Holy Mosque.”
– Third level.. «Classified hotels 1,400 meters away from the Holy Mosque in Mecca».
Abdel Mawjoud indicated that the prices for Hajj programs were approved according to the following: The first level is 395 thousand pounds, including meals. The second level is at an amount of 268 thousand pounds, including meals, while the third level is at an amount of 240 thousand pounds, including meals, stressing that the prices of all levels do not include the cost. The flight ticket, which will be determined later, in coordination with EgyptAir, which will transport the pilgrims; It is scheduled that EgyptAir will use Medina Airport, both for going and returning, in order to ensure the comfort of pilgrims and to allow the use of some regional airports in Egypt that are authorized to transport pilgrims, while providing a service for transporting pilgrims from the governorates to Egyptian airports, whether for going or returning. p>
He added that the Hajj trip for this season will witness the ministry continuing to provide religious preaching to pilgrims, in coordination with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and the Ministry of Endowments. The Egyptian House of Fatwa will provide preaching and guidance services to pilgrims, and a guide will be provided to pilgrims that includes all the procedures that the pilgrim goes through and covers various inquiries related to the Hajj trip, whether administrative or religious.
Abdel Mawjoud explained. The total number of applicants for the Hajj Hajj this year exceeded 41,000 male and female citizens, through 3,200 associations and civil society organizations, where the percentage of males among the applicants reached 43% and the percentage of women reached 43%. 57%, and Cairo Governorate ranked first among the advanced governorates.
Abdel Mawjoud added that the pilgrims selected in the lottery must begin paying the cost of the level starting tomorrow, Tuesday, December 17, in One of the government banks " Egypt – Al-Ahly – Cairo " Or the Egyptian Post, until Thursday, December 26, to complete the procedures, and in the event that the procedures are not completed, an alternative will be escalated from the pilgrims who were chosen in the lottery.
Abdel Mawjoud confirmed It was contracted with hotels of a distinguished standard in both Mecca and Medina, and it was decided to choose the finest hotels of a distinguished standard that are located in the central area of the Two Holy Mosques in Mecca and Medina.
