The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation meets with a number of members of the House of Representatives and the Senate

Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, received a number of members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, as part of the periodic meeting that the Minister holds in order to strengthen communication channels with the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Dr. Rania Al-Mashat indicated that the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation is keen to participate effectively in the various sessions held by the specific committees of the House of Representatives to follow up on the implementation of the economic and social development plan, and partnerships with international institutions and organizations. Stressing that these sessions and discussions ensure the effective implementation of the projects undertaken by the state, through integration between the government’s efforts and parliamentary oversight.

 

The meeting witnessed a discussion of the demands of the representatives in their various constituencies, To improve the services provided to citizens, and to discuss the position of a number of projects not included in the investment plan for the current fiscal year, and in this regard, the Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation affirmed the keenness to thoroughly study these requests and take the necessary action regarding them.

The Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation confirmed that the government is working to implement an economic and structural reform program to enhance macroeconomic stability, amid regional and global crises, explaining that one of the most important of these reforms is setting a ceiling on public investments during the current fiscal year and giving priority to projects. The implementation rate exceeded 70%, in order to control inflation rates and make room for local and foreign investments from the private sector.

 

A member of the House of Representatives, Representative Amin Masoud, participated in the meeting. , Representative Ahmed Abdel Salam, Representative Hani Khadr, Representative Al-Husseini Jalal, Representative Muhammad Radhi, Representative Ali Ahmed Ali, Representative Muhammad Al-Samoudi, and from the Senate, Representative Abdul Sami Youssef, along with the leaders of the Ministry and the Department of Political Communication.
