The Minister of Military Production receives the Angolan Minister of National Defense to discuss aspects of joint cooperation between the two sides

Minister Mohamed Salah began the meeting by welcoming the guests, stressing the strength of the (Egyptian-Angolan) relations and their strategic nature that extends through a rich history of partnership and constructive cooperation, pointing to the special interest that the political leadership of the two countries attaches to maintaining and strengthening the strength of these relations, which is what It is clearly evident through the keenness to exchange meetings and official visits by officials of the two countries, the most prominent of which in the recent period was the visit of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic. The Minister was keen to congratulate the Angolan side on the imminent assumption of the presidency of the African Union next year.

During the meeting, the Minister of State for Military Production reviewed the manufacturing, technological, technical and human capabilities of military production companies and units, which are the basic foundation of military industrialization in Egypt, pointing out that the entities affiliated with the Ministry are an important tributary in the national industry through their efforts to participate in the implementation of many national and development projects in the country. In light of a work system that is characterized as an integrated and unique system, where the Ministry is affiliated with a number of (16) industrial companies and (4) companies in other fields, which includes a company For information systems and another for construction, in addition to a maintenance company and a research backer for scientific and technological excellence. The Ministry also has a training sector, a medical center, and testing fields for ammunition and weapons. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the possibility of opening horizons for joint cooperation between military production companies and similar Angolan companies in many different areas of manufacturing.< /span>

 

For his part, João Ernesto dos Santos appreciated the strength of the friendly relations and fraternal ties that bring together the two brotherly countries, praising Egypt’s active role in its regional and international surroundings, especially the role that the Egyptian state plays in confronting terrorism in the region and addressing various African issues, especially its efforts in the field of advancing development on the continent. And maintain peace and security there, expressing his great appreciation for Egypt, its people and its leadership, and stressing his aspiration to deepen the cooperation relations between the two sides in various fields during the period. In the future, especially in light of the two countries’ membership in the African Peace and Security Council.

The Minister of Defense of Angola praised the role of the Ministry of Military Production in providing the Egyptian Armed Forces’ requirements for ammunition, weapons, equipment, and advanced electronic systems produced according to the latest manufacturing technologies, stressing the keenness of many Angolan companies to cooperate with military production companies in light of their distinguished manufacturing and technical capabilities. Because of its vital and effective role in localizing modern technologies in various fields of production and as one of the most important industrial arms in Egypt, he expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Ministry of Military Production. To establish fruitful strategic cooperative partnerships in the military and civil fields with various international companies and entities.

 

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed on the importance of exchanging delegations and visits between the two sides in order to learn about the capabilities available to them and to determine areas of future joint cooperation.< /p>
