The Minister of Local Development participates in the activities of the winning projects in the Green Projects Initiative

Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, participated in the activities of the National Congress to announce the winning projects in the third session of the National Initiative for Smart Green Enterprises, in the presence of Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, & nbsp; Banova & quot; the residing coordinator of the United Nations in Egypt, and & quot; Alessandro Frakasti & quot;, residing representative of the United Nations Development Program in Egypt, in addition to representatives from a number of international organizations, international institutions, the private sector, civil society, and partners Development. Governorates, which reflects the community awareness of environmental and sustainability issues. Ten, which was held in Cairo last November, strengthened the pioneering role of Egypt in climate work through 50 specialized sessions on climate adaptation issues, circular economics and waste management.

The initiative also contributed to spreading environmental awareness and stimulating projects that apply sustainability standards. 18 winning projects were chosen with a focus on the use of clean technology and the circular economy, and 27 training programs were organized in all governorates to spread awareness of climate issues and enable local authorities to implement sustainable projects, The initiative also constituted a starting point for the inclusion of the climate dimension into local policies.
