The Minister of Local Development is following up with the Governor of Minya on the developments of the Minya train accident
Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, made a number of phone calls with Major General Imad Kadwani, Governor of Minya, this morning to follow up on developments in the accident of a tractor colliding with the back of sleeper train 1087 (power car) coming from Aswan towards Cairo, in the distance between Abu Qurqas and Minya, which led to… The power vehicle and another vehicle fell from the train.
The governor of Minya indicated that as soon as he received notification from the control, emergency and public safety center in the governorate about the accident, he moved, accompanied by the concerned authorities, ambulance, civil protection and traffic, to the site of the accident to follow up on the situation in the field.
The Governor of Minya explained during his contacts with the Minister of Local Development that immediately after the accident occurred, he directed that all executive agencies in the governorate be raised to a state of maximum readiness and that the injured be transferred to hospitals to provide them with health care and treatment.
Dr. Manal Awad indicated The Minister of Local Development indicated that she had communicated with the relevant ministries to follow up on developments in the situation immediately after the accident occurred and to coordinate with the governorate to provide all necessary capabilities and support all efforts made by the rest of the ministries and concerned authorities, especially transportation and health, and to coordinate with neighboring governorates in case of necessity to provide support and assistance. < /p>
The Minister of Local Development confirmed that the control center of the National Emergency and Public Safety Network at the General Office of the Ministry of Local Development is following up with the operations and crisis management room, the control center in Minya Governorate, and the executive leadership, on developments in the incident, noting that coordination has also been made with the coalition. National Civil Development Work to provide relief operations and necessary work in coordination with Minya Governorate.
