The Minister of Immigration invites distinguished Egyptian doctors abroad to provide their scientific expertise to Al-Nas Hospital

The Minister of State for Immigration and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad, Ambassador Soha Gendy, invited distinguished Egyptian surgeons from various countries of the world to inspect the People’s Hospital as part of their visits to Egypt and to provide their scientific expertise, which they had never neglected, in the service of the Egyptians, their countrymen.

 

 

This came during an inspection visit by Minister Soha Gendi to Al-Nas Hospital for treating children’s heart diseases, in response to the invitation of Engineer Ayman Mamdouh Abbas, member of the Board of Directors, and Dr. Hazem Al-Mulla, Executive Director of Al-Nas Hospital. The Minister inspected all hospital departments and the level of distinguished treatment provided for pediatric heart surgeries, to discuss ways of cooperation. Joint efforts and provide the necessary support to the hospital, by inviting distinguished Egyptian doctors abroad, and Egyptian cadres working in this field in major medical edifices in various countries of the world, to exchange scientific expertise, and provide the necessary medical services that help the hospital treat more cases free of charge throughout Egypt.

 

Soha Gendi referred to the strategy of the Ministry of State for Immigration and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad, to support the health care system in Egypt as a link between three main actors: the first of whom are Egyptian doctors abroad who wish to Serving the nation and returning the favor to it, and the state is represented by the Ministry of Health through the direct coordination mechanism that exists between us to support the health system in Egypt with the expertise that our doctors have acquired abroad, and finally the civil society institutions specialized in providing health care services with the aim of maximizing ways to benefit from our Egyptian experts abroad in the field of care. health care and supporting the state’s efforts within the strategy of developing the medical tourism system in Egypt.

 

She stressed the Egyptian state’s endeavor under the new republic to provide a decent life for the Egyptian citizen while preserving his human dignity, and The keenness to provide health services to citizens in the governorates and villages most in need comes within the framework of implementing the two presidential initiatives “Survival Boats” And “a decent life”, with the aim of unifying efforts and making optimal use of the experiences of the people of the country abroad and employing them in many constructive initiatives and activities aimed at serving the Egyptian community, which the ministry is working on.

 

She continued. :"This time, providing preventive and curative health services to all segments of society in all governorates of the Republic. We have approximately 14 million Egyptians abroad who are a national wealth for us, and they always strive to provide their knowledge and expertise to the most needy groups in Egypt through their support of charitable projects aimed at serving citizens. Peoples Hospital is a model that deserves support in order to provide adequate health services to the children of Egypt in particular and the sick in general."

 

The minister stressed that the visit also aims to highlight the charitable role that the hospital plays in support of For those who want to participate in this great humanitarian work, especially during the days of the blessed month of Ramadan and the goodness and love it brings, in one of the largest medical centers in the Arab region and the continent of Africa, which has a capacity of about 600 beds to treat children’s heart, intestinal, and diabetes surgeries, and the development of the Rabaa Foundation for Burns.

 

For his part, Engineer Ayman Mamdouh Abbas confirmed that the Minister of Immigration’s visit to the hospital reflects governmental and official interest in the distinguished medical services that People’s Hospital seeks to provide to a large number of our Egyptian citizens inside the country. Various governorates.

 

He considered that this visit represents the beginning of fruitful and serious cooperation between the Ministry of Immigration and the People’s Hospital, to benefit from the strong relationship that the Ministry of Immigration brings together with Egyptian doctors abroad, to invite these doctors to exchange Scientific experiences with Egyptian doctors working at the hospital, especially in the scientific and medical research departments that Peoples Hospital is interested in, in addition to contributing to the provision of medical services through visiting doctors. 

 

And During the inspection tour, the Minister was briefed on the progress of work at the hospital since 2019 and the waiting lists for surgeries related to pediatric heart diseases and surgeries, and the increase in death rates caused by the delay in these surgeries that may reach nearly half of the deaths caused by all diseases in Egypt.

 

The Minister was briefed on the services provided in accordance with the latest technologies and international standards and surgical technology, and the medical equipment and devices it possesses that are considered the most advanced in this field, and the distinguished medical cadre of doctors it includes. And specialists and nursing teams, who are trained in the hospital’s academy to reach the highest professional levels.

 

The inspection tour witnessed visits to the cardiology, anesthesia, ophthalmia, dental, rapid relief, and radiology clinics. Sectional sections, as well as the health education clinic and the games room. During her tour, the Minister of Immigration also listened to a comprehensive explanation of these departments, as well as success stories in the hospital for children who underwent complex and delicate heart operations for free and returned to living their lives normally.

At the conclusion of the visit, Ambassador Soha Gendy confirmed that the Ministry is harnessing all its capabilities to provide all forms of support and assistance to medical institutions that seek to provide distinguished therapeutic services to the Egyptian citizen, such as the People’s Hospital for treating heart diseases for children in the field, by promoting these monuments. Unique medical care, among Egyptians abroad, and inviting doctors and specialists in the medical fields provided by the hospital to benefit from their accumulated scientific experience, relying on the Ministry of Immigration’s database of Egyptian doctors abroad, with the aim of exchanging scientific and research experiences in a way that serves the hospital’s expansion objectives, to be able to provide medical care. To the largest number of beneficiaries, training medical personnel, scientific and research exchange with hospitals and scientific institutions for which they work abroad, and considering providing training opportunities at the People’s Hospital for some of those studying in the medical field abroad in confirmation of the hospital’s unique human and technological capabilities. 

It is worth noting that the People’s Hospital was built by the non-profit Al-Joud Charitable Foundation, on land donated by the Asfour Foundation, and since its opening in 2019, it has provided approximately 303,322 services.
