The Minister of Housing reviews the position of projects for the current fiscal year, the tenth, worth 1.927 billion pounds

The Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, reviewed the position of the projects of the current fiscal year plan in the Tenth City, worth 1.927 billion pounds, and the executive position of the projects during 2024.

The Minister of Housing explained, According to a statement, Today, Wednesday, the financial year plan for 10th of Ramadan City 2024/2025 is divided into drinking water projects, road projects, Electricity, communications, services, social housing, middle housing works “Dar Misr – Misr Housing”, agriculture, and public administration equipment in the city.

In this context.. the head of the Tenth of Ramadan City Authority, Engineer Alaa Abdullah, explained, The housing sector includes the implementation of 28,140 units of various sizes, divided into units with a low-income axis of 22,536 units, and a low-income “green housing” axis. with 3,972 units, and the middle-income axis with 1,632 units, in addition to 5,352 units " Green Housing Model" Assignment is underway, 576 medium housing model units are being planned, and 2,136 “green housing” model units are being planned. It is being planned, within the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians.”

The head of the Tenth of Ramadan City Authority said that 23 service projects have been implemented and are being implemented, including 6 commercial markets, 6 nurseries, 5 units, and 6 schools. In the areas of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians.”

He added that the utility projects that have been completed and are being implemented include works on (raising efficiency – water) Drainage – roads) in the city’s industrial areas from areas (A1: A6), and includes works to replace, renew and raise the efficiency of road networks. 

He pointed out that the utilities sector included the work being implemented to fill random and irregular ponds. The random pond located next to Drainage Station 4 was leveled and filled, and a 600 mm line with a length of about 850 meters was implemented, along with the improvement and deepening of the existing emergency basin, as well as including the water catchment area. Of the excess slope line of 1200 mm, where the creek was filled in, and a line of 700 mm diameter with a length of approximately 1700 meters was implemented as an urgent solution “starting from Al-Mutabbaqa to the open waterway leading to the treated water lifter to the Belbeis drain,” and a 1600 mm line is being implemented as an alternative to the 1200 mm line to accommodate the excess disposal. For the heavy industrial zone, utility projects in the industrial zones also include the expansion project to accommodate the surplus from the anaerobic pond No 3.

The head of the 10th of Madan City Authority pointed out that the development and projects sector included developing a vision for a structural plan with activities distributed for the eastern area of ​​the city (formerly Al-Barak area) north of the Cairo-Ismailia desert road (agricultural, residential, workshops). And warehouses and logistical areas), and the electric train route within the city and two stations, including parking spaces and services, were handed over to the National Tunnels Authority in preparation for the start of implementation work.

He pointed out that the projects sector included: a project Model mobile food carts, as 33 mobile food cart locations were allocated in the city through a public lottery system. Technical approval was also given to offering 6 mobile food cart locations and the offering procedures are being completed. A site in the city center, a second phase, was also allocated to establish an entertainment activity and a car catering station, to meet The city’s needs and increasing the Authority’s resources.

Engineer Alaa Abdullah explained that 8 areas were allocated in the first phase of the city to establish a tourist (entertainment) walkway, on the Ali bin Abi Talib axis. And Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq. Al-Kafrawi Park was also listed on the authority’s website with a usufruct system for optimal exploitation and maximization.

He pointed out that the beautification and development sector included developing the city gate from Entrance No. (1) of the (Cairo/Ismailia) road. ) Desert Road, and the city gate from Entrance (2) of the Tenth Belbeis Road, and developing the city’s main axes, including developing and raising the efficiency of the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq axis and the Khalid bin Al-Walid axis, and the Imam Al-Shafi’i axis is being developed, and the axis is being developed. Ali bin Abi Talib, and the work is underway to raise the efficiency and develop some axes, such as: the Security Forces axis, the Othman bin Affan axis, and the Omar bin Al-Khattab axis, in addition to the development work of some squares, which include developing and raising the efficiency of a square at the main entrance to the city from the Cairo-Ismailia desert road ( At Al-Kafrawi Park), as well as agricultural development works in the city’s main axes, where “High Mast” poles were installed. High efficiency to illuminate a number of main squares, in order to improve services and develop the city’s infrastructure.

The head of the agency also indicated that regarding the phenomenon of street vendors in the city, a lottery was made to cover them in the Al-Bakit market located between the first and second neighborhoods, with a number of (141). In coordination with the Board of Trustees and the Construction Police, coordination is underway to select 4 other places in the city. To eliminate the phenomenon of street vendors, and regarding the problem of workshops that the city’s residents are suffering from inside residential areas, coordination is underway to move them from residential areas to the eastern area (B4), and warehouses and workshops are actively planned, given the large number of residents’ complaints about being harmed by these workshops.
