The Minister of Housing follows up the development rates of New Sphinx City

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, discussed the development rates of the New Sphinx City on an area of ​​​​about 70 thousand acres, which is one of the fourth generation cities, in addition to following up on the latest developments in improving the situation, in the presence of officials from the Ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority, and the city authority.

 

The Minister of Housing reviewed, with the attendees at the meeting held yesterday evening, the republican decisions related to the establishment of the city, the decisions related to adding some spaces to it, and a number of The challenges facing the implementation of development projects, and the current population, which has reached 40 thousand people so far, stressing the need to intensify work to achieve the goal of issuing decisions for the establishment of the city, which is to confront random urban growth.

 

< p>During the meeting, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny listened to a detailed explanation of the city’s general strategic plan, detailed plans, proposed land uses, and the city’s development position, which was divided into 5 sectors, and the most important road axes and nearby landmarks. Among them, the most prominent of which are the Cairo/Alexandria Desert Road, the Dabaa/Tahya Misr axis, the regional ring road, and the locations of the entities present in the city and the most important developers in the city’s first sector. The meeting also discussed the current position of legalizing the situation in some areas of the city, and the mechanisms used to study the files of regularizing the situation in the city, in accordance with the decision of the Prime Minister in this regard, and the decisions of the central unit of the New Urban Communities Authority regarding land dealing policies for a number of new cities.

< p>The Minister discussed with the audience the position of the utility works for the first phase of the city, which includes (drinking water – drainage – paving "roads"), and the position of the drinking water station, the lifter and the outlet. For the station, the sewage treatment plant and its cranes. Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny directed the development of a solid plan to take advantage of the development axes near the city to speed up development work, including the Abu Ghaleb Bridge on the Cairo/Alexandria Desert Road, with the aim of maximizing the use of lands near those axes, and the connection work on other roads, as well as setting a timetable. To speed up the implementation of utility projects.
