The Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, directed the heads of the new cities’ agencies to push development rates and raise the level of services provided to citizens in the new cities, stressing the necessity and importance of full integration and coordination between the Authority’s presidency and the new cities’ agencies, to achieve development goals in the best possible way.< /p>
This came during the expanded meeting of the Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, with deputies and assistants of the New Urban Communities Authority, and heads of new city agencies. To follow up on the progress of work in the Authority and its agencies, stressing the importance of this regular meeting, to advance work rates and exchange experiences and expertise between the new cities’ agencies.

The Minister directed the necessity of rationalizing spending and directing financial resources according to priorities and maximizing their use, improving the level of performance of technological centers and units dealing with developers and investors, and limiting dealings and provision of services to citizens to The technology center only, and holding meetings with members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, listening to their demands and problems and working to solve them, as well as enhancing communication with citizens through social media pages, Informing them of information, refuting rumours, and paying attention to the level of hotline services for receiving complaints.
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny also directed to maximize reliance on the local product and give preference to the product that contains the largest percentage of the local component, in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and to support Supporting the localization of industry, quickly completing coordination with the relevant authorities, and quickly completing the work of upgrading industrial areas, in addition to raising the level of operation and maintenance work for road axes, lighting works, cleaning, agriculture, and waste removal, so that citizens feel a radical change. It is tangible in the level of services, and preparing an inventory of the elevator needs for the ongoing projects and those planned to be implemented, to provide them locally through cooperation between the concerned authorities.
The Minister of Housing stressed the importance of the new city agencies being fully prepared to deal with the rainy season, as well as working on Rationalizing water consumption and maximizing the benefit from every drop of water, dealing decisively with hidden connections, replacing and renewing networks, fully reviewing the sewage and irrigation system, and working to find incentives to push development rates and raise occupancy and housing rates in cities.
