The Minister of Higher Education witnesses the closing ceremony of the first phase of the initiative "Enable"

Under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, witnessed the closing ceremony of the first phase of the " Enable" The “Temple of Hatshepsut” was built in Deir el-Bahari. The Minister began his speech by thanking President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, President of the Republic; For his generous sponsorship of the initiative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research " Enable" To serve and care for students of determination, the first of its activities was launched last October to cover the seven geographical regions developed by the “Alliance and Development” initiative. Within the national strategy for higher education and scientific research.
 
Dr. Ayman Ashour explained that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is working to develop the university education system for students with disabilities, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership, In continuation of the Egyptian state’s efforts towards achieving social justice, and implementing programs and policies related to the integration of students with disabilities into society, he pointed out that the success achieved by the first phase of the " Enable" It embodies the vision of Egypt and the new republic towards building a more comprehensive educational environment to raise awareness of the services, rights and duties of students with disabilities in all Egyptian universities.
 
The Minister confirmed the continuation of plans and programs to support and care for students with disabilities. People of determination in all universities, in coordination and cooperation with the National Council for People of Determination and relevant institutions, to provide all facilities to students of determination and ensure that they obtain their rights. Complete.
 
Dr. Ayman Ashour pointed out the role of service and care centers for students with disabilities in public universities in providing all means of logistical, psychological, and educational support and employment qualification, in addition to their role in providing means of benefiting from Of modern technological means and the application of accessibility standards in buildings and campuses; To facilitate their movement and practice of academic activities and their integration into various student events and activities at various public, private, private and technological universities, pointing to the signing of seven new cooperation protocols with the “ AMIDEAST Egypt" To establish and equip centers for students with disabilities in public universities, thus bringing the service and care centers for students with disabilities to 27 centers; So that every public university has a center to care for students with disabilities.
 
At the end of his speech, the Minister sent a message to his students with disabilities to demonstrate their creative abilities and highlight their unique talents; To be active people in society who are useful to the nation. 
 
For his part, Dr. Karim Hammam, advisor to the Minister of Higher Education for student activities and director of the Leadership Preparation Institute, stated that people of determination are an integral part of The university community, and they have high capabilities, experiences, and skills that we are working to discover and employ to benefit from them in a way that contributes to serving society as a whole, pointing out that the Tamkeen initiative has diversified since its launch last October. Its activities include workshops, awareness-raising and educational lectures, and sports activities, in which people of determination participated with their normal peers from all members of the university community, including students, faculty members, and administrators. The initiative also provided training opportunities in partnership between government institutions, the private sector, and civil society.

Dr. Sherine Yahya, advisor to the Minister of Higher Education for students with disabilities, confirmed that the " Enable" It aims to create a more comprehensive environment and awareness of the duties and rights of students with disabilities in light of the new republic’s trends regarding the necessity of integrating them into various aspects of life, noting the role that the initiative plays in building a flexible society and a supportive and stimulating environment for students with disabilities, adding that there is an effort to expand the base Cooperation with local and international bodies and institutions.

The celebration also included an artistic performance by soprano Farah Al-Debani and a number of artistic performances. Musical and singing performances were presented by students with disabilities, in addition to performances by Reda Folklore Band, and performances by the Culture Palaces Authority.
