The Minister of Higher Education praises the achievement of the Egyptian university team in the Arab Beach Games
Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and President of the Universities Sports Federation, congratulated the delegation of the Egyptian university team on its outstanding performance, winning the gold medal, and first place in the beach volleyball competitions (females), and the bronze medal in beach soccer (men), in addition to To achieve fourth place in beach volleyball (men) in the third Arab University Beach Games, which was held in the city of Agadir, Morocco, during the period from 23 to 27 October, in which many young men from Arab universities participated, namely: (Egypt, Morocco). (Tunisia, Mauritania, Libya, Sultanate of Oman, Qatar), and the teams competed in three diverse sports: beach volleyball “ladies”, beach volleyball “men”, and beach soccer “men”.
The Minister stressed that this achievement reflects the effort exerted by the players and technical teams to honor their country and raise its flag in this major international forum. This achievement also enhances the position of Egyptian universities on the international sports arena, calling for continued work and dedication to achieve more successes. In the future, pointing to the remarkable development witnessed by Egyptian university sports, which is evident through successive achievements in various international forums, stressing that these achievements reflect the extent of the political leadership’s interest in enhancing the level of university sports in Egyptian academic institutions.
And among other things: For his part, Dr. Mustafa Bayoumi, Assistant Minister of Higher Education for Student Life and Sustainable Development and Vice President of the Universities Sports Federation, praised the distinguished organization of the tournament, and extended his thanks to Dr. Saeed Hamad Al-Hassani, President of the Arab Federation for University Sports, and Dr. Samir Fatago, President of the Royal Moroccan University of University Sports. For their great efforts in making this sporting event a success, praising the performance of the male and female students who participated in the course, and the great effort they made during the competitions, stressing that what has been achieved are the fruits of the strategy pursued by the Universities Sports Federation, which aims to expand the base for practicing sports within universities.
