The Minister of Higher Education confirms the depth of the cooperation relations between Egypt and Jordan
Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, confirmed the depth of the cooperation relations between Egypt and Jordan, the two brotherly countries throughout history, which were reflected in various scientific, cultural and research fields.
This came during a meeting between Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with Mr. Amjad Al-Adaileh, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Cairo, in the presence of Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, and Dr. Ayman Farid, Assistant Minister for Strategic Planning, Training and Qualification for the Labor Market, and Acting Head of the Sector. The two sides discussed the cooperation relations that bind the two countries, developing cooperation, expanding its horizons and advancing it to A comprehensive strategic level in the fields of higher education and scientific research, to serve the ongoing preparations for the work of the next session of the joint higher committee between the two countries.
Dr. Ayman Ashour also stressed – during the meeting – the importance of cooperation. In promoting Arab scientific publishing, and making the world aware of the amount of scientific knowledge produced by the Arab world, pointing to the role played by the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, in adding Egyptian and Arab scientific journals, and increasing the volume of citations taken from Egyptian and Arab scholars, as well as working through the national network of Arab journals. ; To maximize the international dissemination of Arab research, and to transfer Arab knowledge production to the global level.
The Minister pointed to the great progress achieved by scientists and researchers in Egypt and the Arab world in various scientific fields, which deserves to be celebrated. And export it to the world, expressing Egypt’s welcome to receive Jordanian students.
Ashour praised the evaluation standards that Jordan sets to ensure the quality of their educational level, pointing out that the necessary facilities are provided to foreign students through the platform “Study in Egypt”, with continued work to develop the system of foreign students in Egypt, the mechanism of equivalency of certificates, facilitating registration procedures, as well as organizing student activities and events to involve them with their Egyptian peers so that they obtain a distinguished educational experience that contributes to building their personalities in various scientific, cultural and sporting aspects. The Minister pointed out the possibility of cooperation in providing practical training for graduates of medical colleges, through the branch of the British Royal College in London, noting that Egypt has opened branches for a number of British classification and qualification bodies. For his part, to provide accredited programs to provide the necessary skills for graduates, confirm the quality of Egyptian higher education globally, and raise the level of graduates of Egyptian universities in a way that opens doors to work for them in regional and international markets.
For his part. Ambassador Amjad Al-Adaileh stressed Jordan’s pride in the level of close cooperation and exchange relations it has with Egypt in the higher education sector, which has achieved great progress in recent years, praising the cooperation and coordination provided by the Ministry of Higher Education in Egypt in a way that enhances educational exchange between the two countries, in light of the increase in education. The numbers of Jordanian students studying in Egyptian universities and the noticeable increase in the number of Egyptian students studying in Jordanian universities, in light of the progress and expansion witnessed by Jordanian and Egyptian universities.
The Jordanian ambassador referred to the efforts made by Specialists in both countries, where consultative efforts are being made to develop the executive program for cooperation in the field of higher education and scientific research, which was signed by the joint Jordanian-Egyptian higher committee headed by the prime ministers of the two countries, which is reflected in the quality of educational outcomes in various university specializations.
