The Minister of Health meets with the ministry’s leaders to monitor readiness and provide support to our Palestinian brothers
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, held a meeting with the ministry’s leaders to ensure the readiness of the health system in North Sinai Governorate and its neighboring governorates in light of the ongoing preparations to open the Rafah crossing, after announcing that a ceasefire agreement had been reached. This comes in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to provide all aspects of health support to our Palestinian brothers. Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the Deputy Prime Minister stressed ensuring the provision of all means of medical care, reviewing the medical equipment in all health facilities regardless of their affiliations, when opening the Rafah crossing, and providing the best health care to our Palestinian brothers.
"Abdul Ghaffar" added The Minister stressed the importance of ensuring the capacity of referral hospitals, to ensure the quality of services provided to our Palestinian brothers, and that this does not affect the level of daily services provided in hospitals.
He continued: Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar also directed to increase the number of medical teams in departments. Urgent care and medical devices in Al-Arish, Bir Al-Abd and Sheikh Zuwayd hospitals in North Sinai Governorate, stressing the intensification of work by the medical teams at the Ministry of Health and coordination with all concerned parties to provide the best services. The diagnostic and treatment necessary for them.
"Abdul Ghaffar" pointed out The Minister was assured of the availability of a sufficient stock of medicines, medical supplies, and blood groups in hospitals in conjunction with the preparations for relief work in the Gaza Strip. He also confirmed the presence of a dense spread of ambulance points.

Al-Alajay, Dr. Sherif Wadi’, Advisor to the Minister for Emergency and Urgent Care Affairs and Head of the Supreme Council for Review of Medical Research Ethics, and Dr. Amr Rashid, Head of the Egyptian Ambulance Authority, also participated via video conference.
