The Minister of Health is following up on the project to establish Nasser General Hospital in Beni Suef
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, accompanied by Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, inspected today, Saturday, the Nasser Hospital construction project
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the minister listened to a detailed explanation about developing and raising the efficiency of Nasser General Hospital, where it reaches… Its total area is 32 thousand square meters, with a capacity of 227 beds, and the cost of the project reaches one billion and 200 thousand pounds.
He added « Abdul Ghaffar» The Deputy Prime Minister directed the rapid demolition of the old building (Nasser Central Hospital) to work on the rest of the buildings at the same pace, stressing the necessity of completing the project according to the previously specified timetables, scheduled during the first quarter of 2026.
«Abdul Ghaffar» continued; The Minister directed to accelerate the pace of construction work, and reviewed the functional program for the project, in addition to ensuring the actual contracting of all non-medical equipment for the project buildings, indicating that all buildings have a distinctive design.
«Abdul Ghaffar» The operations to increase efficiency include the existing building, which includes (outpatient clinics, doctors’ and administrative housing, pharmacy, laboratories, plasma collection, and dialysis), in addition to the new building, consisting of a ground floor and 4 upper floors, and includes intensive care, operations, catheterization, and cardiac care. Emergency, radiology, kitchen, gas chamber, sterilization, waste, engineering management, physical therapy, nursing units, burns, endoscopy, blood bank, and residence. Obstetrics and gynecology, and nurseries for premature infants.
«Abdul Ghaffar» continued; The hospital will include 148 inpatient beds, 37 intensive care, 9 pediatric care, 4 burn care, and 20 pasteurized nurseries, in addition to 36 dialysis machines, 16 outpatient clinics, 5 equipped operating rooms, 2 natural birth rooms, 2 endoscopes, and an x-ray department. The Minister was accompanied during the tour by Dr. Anwar Ismail, Assistant Minister for National Projects, and Dr. Ahmed Mustafa Rais. The Health Insurance Authority, Dr. Peter Wagih, Head of the Therapeutic Medicine Sector, Dr. Maha Ibrahim, Head of the Specialized Medical Centers Secretariat, and Dr. Samah Gad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Beni Suef Governorate.
