The Minister of Health inspects the project to establish the New Heliopolis Hospital at a cost of 3.5 billion pounds

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, inspected the project to establish the New Heliopolis Hospital, as part of his field tour to inspect a number of national projects in the health sector and follow up on implementation rates on the ground.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the hospital consists of 4 floors on an area of 42 thousand square meters, with an implementation rate of 18% and a total cost estimated at 3.5 billion pounds.

«Abdul Ghaffar» The hospital’s capacity reaches 400 beds, including 166 inpatient beds, 190 intensive care beds, including 80 adult care beds, 6 beds equipped for dialysis, 10 stroke care beds, 5 poison care beds, and 10 burn care beds. 20 pediatric care beds, 10 emergency care beds, 40 intermediate care beds, and 15 intermediate care beds for burns. And 50 nurseries, and 15 operating rooms, with a total of 12 specialized operating rooms, 2 burn rooms, and a caesarean section room.

Abdul Ghaffar continued: The hospital consists of a reception and emergency department, an outpatient department with a total of 31 clinics, a dialysis department with a total of 70 dialysis machines, a digestive endoscopy department, an obstetrics and gynecology department, a cardiac catheterization department, in addition to cerebral and peripheral catheterization.

The Minister was accompanied during the tour by Dr. Anwar Ismail, Assistant Minister of Health for National Projects Affairs, and Dr. Ahmed Mustafa, Chairman of the General Authority for Health Insurance.
