Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, held a meeting with the delegation of the French Development Agency (AFD), to discuss aspects of joint cooperation in the health sector, especially with regard to supporting the comprehensive health insurance project And, on the sidelines of the first annual forum of the General Health Insurance Authority, in the new administrative capital. And the development of the health sector in Egypt, pointing to the importance of partnership between the two sides to achieve the goals of sustainable development and enhance the quality of health services provided to citizens. In future action plans in various health fields, especially the comprehensive health insurance system, to support Egyptian efforts in this transitional phase, stressing that supporting international partners is an essential pillar in implementing the project according to international standards, in a manner that ensures the enhancement of health services provided to citizens and achieve health security for them . The meeting reviewed the pivotal role of primary health care systems in promoting public health, as the minister stressed that it is a top priority in the strategy of developing the health sector in Egypt, adding that the two sides discussed cooperation in public health programs, especially programs that enhance the health of the mother and the child, as the meeting touched on To discuss ways to cooperate and exchange experiences in the field of vaccine manufacturing, in a manner that ensures an increase in local production rates. Support to implement joint action plans, in a way that contributes to enhancing the quality of health services provided to citizens, and the delegation expressed its aspiration to more strategic partnerships that support the sustainable development of the health sector in Egypt.
