The Minister of Health discusses the national strategy for the enforcement of preparations and medical supplies for global markets

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, held an expanded meeting at the Ministry’s headquarters in the new administrative capital, to discuss the national strategy for the enforcement of preparations and medical supplies to global markets, and this meeting comes within the framework of the Egyptian government’s plan to increase exports of medical products and enhance the role of Egypt In the health sector regionally and globally, especially in the African continent.

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar confirmed in The beginning of the meeting, that the Egyptian government puts the strengthening of exports at the top of its priorities, especially in the vital sectors such as medicines and medical supplies, explaining that these sectors play a major role in supporting economic growth, citing the huge potentials that Egypt possesses from resources and productive capabilities that qualify it to become a regional center for exporting preparations Medical to various global markets.

For his part, Dr. explained Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, that the meeting discussed the proposal of the national strategy for penetration of preparations and human medical and veterinary supplies to the global markets, with a focus on reaching a unified vision that brings together the governmental and private sectors, and to ensure that all actors in the formulation and implementation stage are represented, referring to The strategy aims to achieve growth in Egyptian medical exports amounting to $ 2 billion by a year 2026/2027, and 5 billion dollars by 2030.
