Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, received Dominic Goh, Ambassador of Singapore to Egypt, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of health care and training medical and nursing personnel, as part of the state’s strategy to achieve comprehensive development and provide distinguished and safe health care for citizens.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the meeting began with Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar welcoming the Singapore Ambassador and the accompanying delegation, stressing the friendly relations between the two countries and the importance of continuing fruitful cooperation between Egypt and Singapore.
p>He added that the two sides reviewed during the meeting the latest developments and achievements in previous cooperation files. The meeting also dealt with ways to enhance cooperation in the field of training doctors in various medical specialties, in addition to training nursing teams in various fields including intensive care, nursing services management, emergency nursing, And neonatal nursing, through advanced training programs aimed at raising the efficiency of medical personnel in both countries.
The official spokesman confirmed that Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar stressed the importance of exchanging medical delegations between Egypt and Singapore, to exchange experiences and learn about successful experiences. In the health sector, as well as enhancing cooperation in hospital management systems.
He also pointed out that the meeting dealt with the two sides’ agreement to receive students from Singapore to study in Egyptian universities, to benefit from Egyptian academic expertise, and cooperation in providing support was also discussed. For his part, the Singaporean ambassador praised the efforts of the Egyptian state in developing the health sector and providing high-quality medical services to citizens, expressing his country’s desire to enhance cooperation with Egypt in The medical field, due to its pioneering capabilities and skills.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ola Khairallah, Head of the Research and Training Sector, Dr. Peter Wajih, Head of the Therapeutic Medicine Sector, Dr. Hatem Amer, Assistant Minister of Health and Population for International Relations, and Dr. Susan Zanati, Director General of the External Health Department at the Ministry of Health.
