Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, chaired the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Medical Risk Compensation Fund, today, Sunday, in the presence of the Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr. Maya Morsi, Major General Hussein Dahrouj, Executive Director of the Fund, and a number of leaders from the Ministry of Social Solidarity. With consideration of establishing an electronic program to record cases of injury and death, and to follow up on the mechanism for disbursing compensation to those entitled to it, while emphasizing the keenness of the Fund and the concerned authorities to reach For those who deserve it.
«Abdul Ghaffar» continued; The meeting discussed the Fund’s draft budget for the fiscal year (2024/2025), and presented the Fund’s financial position during the first quarter of the fiscal year, while reviewing the Fund’s revenues, receipts, and investment returns in commercial banks, and the Fund’s account returns with the Central Bank, while presenting the latest developments in adopting regulations. The human, financial and administrative resources of the Fund, in addition to discussing the inclusion of the Fund’s achievements and efforts in the Human Rights Document.
The official spokesman added that the meeting He reviewed the plan to invest the Fund’s funds from August 2024 until October 2024, where the Minister stressed the keenness to increase the Fund’s resources, to maximize benefit, in a way that reflects benefits on the Fund members, while recommending that a joint memorandum be drawn up between the Ministries of Health and Finance, to establish controls that maximize the value of the investment, and present it to the Prime Minister.
«Abdul Ghaffar» The meeting included consideration of approving some benefits for members of the medical profession, including contributing to the costs of training programs for employees of the Ministry of Health, and contributing to the costs of bringing in foreign and Egyptian experts to train a number of members of the Fund, to create promising medical cadres, out of concern for public health.

The latest developments regarding the inclusion of members of the medical professions working in the therapeutic institution to membership in the Fund, as their inclusion was approved by the Council of Ministers.
