The Minister of Endowments launches the initiative for the return of the Katateebs from Menoufia
Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, accompanied by Major General Ibrahim Abu Laymoun, Governor of Menoufia, inaugurated the Katateeb Return Initiative, and inspected the Holy Qur’an memorization centers and circles in the village of Kafr El-Sheikh Shehata, Tala Center, Menoufia Governorate.

The meeting was attended by Mohamed Moussa, Deputy Governor of Menoufia; Major General Imad Youssef, Secretary General of Menoufia Governorate; Major General Walid Al-Baili, Assistant Secretary General of Menoufia Governorate; Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rahman Al-Bayoumi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs; Dr. Ayman Abu Omar, Head of the Central Administration for Da’wah Affairs; Dr. Nabil Kamal, representative of civil society organizations; Journalist Mahmoud Al-Jallad, Assistant Minister of Endowments for Media Affairs; Dr. Mohamed Khalifa, Director of the Menoufia Endowments Directorate; And Sheikh Mahmoud Abu Amer, Director of the Memorization Office in Kafr El-Sheikh Shehata Village – Tala Center – Menoufia Governorate.
During his speech, he welcomed Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, to the attendees, expressing his gratitude for his presence in this blessed village, where the idea of the Return of the Katateeb initiative began, so that God would open the door of goodness through it, pointing to the directive of the Menoufia Endowments Directorate to fully cooperate with the initiative, and to communicate with the Misr Al-Khair Foundation, and with Mr. Minister of Supply, and many state institutions to establish images of connection, affection, appreciation and honor for the honorable people of the village.
The Minister added that the opening of the book is not just an event. It is normal. Rather, it is the beginning of hearts coming together for goodness, love, and loyalty. He explained that the goal of the book is to provide our sons and daughters and the new generation with awareness, and to fill their hearts with the morals of the Holy Qur’an. He pointed out that there was a response from several governorates to this initiative. To join this successful experience that began in the village of Kafr El-Sheikh Shehata, he recommended that memorization supervisors in all parts of the country strive to memorize our sons and daughters the Holy Qur’an, and teach them the meaning of love for the homeland, stressing that memorizing the Holy Qur’an is the door of goodness that opens for us teaching future generations the meaning of loyalty to the homeland. And love of the country, in addition to teaching them the basic principles of reading, writing, and arithmetic. So that the book will be a beacon of knowledge, an aid, an assistant, and a complement to the role of the Ministry of Education.
The Minister also indicated his recommendation of five basic principles for every memorizer of the Holy Qur’an, and for every child and human being on the land of Kenya, and in the entire world, calling on all memorizers of the Holy Qur’an to Books by instilling them in the conscience of children, which are:
The first: respect for the universes, as God Almighty says: "Praise be to God Lord of the worlds " The word “worlds” includes all creatures so that our children will be aware of respect for the universes and everything that surrounds man.
The second: Honoring man. The Almighty said: “And We have honored the children of Adam,” meaning that every human being, regardless of his gender or age, is honored, so he should not be bullied. on anyone and does not harm anyone, but rather one must adhere to good morals in dealing with people.
Third: Respect Homelands, and striving to elevate and redeem them.
Fourth: Increase in urbanization, to be a tool for construction, giving, and creativity. Not a tool for sabotage and demolition.
Fifth: Increasing faith. If all the first four principles are combined in a person with sincerity, he will become aware of the meaning of faith, and he will advance through the paths of purification and gratitude for blessings.
The minister added that these The principles are a way for a person to perform worship in its rightful way, and to achieve the true and integrated meaning of faith, stressing that the goal of the books is to memorize the Holy Qur’an and have its morals, build awareness, instill love of the homeland and the meanings of giving and giving, and teach children. These principles will be a charter for all the kataebs in Egypt.
The Minister of Endowments confirmed that the goal of this plan is the return of the kataebs within a specific period of time, so that each of the mother villages will have a kataeb group, then in the rest of the villages, in coordination with institutions. The state, adding that the ministry will open some mosque annexes to be a headquarters for the ketubs that help, cooperate and complement the work of the Ministry of Education, stressing that the ketubs will be a platform for science and knowledge that builds the human character. On good morals, and establishes the meanings of connection, friendliness and appreciation between the young and the old, and among all the people of the country.
The Minister of Endowments expressed his thanks to all the institutions that helped to make this experiment a success, led by Mr. Mohsen Sarhan, the executive founder of the Food Bank Foundation, who Contribute to supporting charitable people in the village of Kafr El-Sheikh Shehata. As well as the Misr Al-Khair Foundation, headed by Professor Dr. Ali Gomaa, a member of the Council of Senior Scholars, for the solidarity and generosity he provided to the people of the village of Kafr El-Sheikh Shehata. And the Al-Manna Foundation, headed by Dr. Nabil Kamal, through whom God opened this door of goodness; And to His Excellency Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, for what he has done towards the people of this village.
The Minister of Endowments confirmed that the inauguration of these centers is part of the “A New Beginning for Human Building” and Human Development initiative, which came under the guidance of His Excellency Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to care and honor every human being on the land of Egypt, extending to His Excellency all greetings, appreciation and respect, and the Minister of Endowments expressed his sincere affection. And his appreciation for the people of the village of Kafr El-Sheikh Shehata, stressing that the step that began today by launching the book and sponsoring the village will not be interrupted – it is a good beginning.
