The Minister of Agriculture chairs the meetings of the Board of Directors of the Agrarian Reform Authority and the Agricultural Land Fund

Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, stressed the importance of facilitating the beneficiaries and providing them with all means of support, in addition to continuing efforts to develop associations affiliated with agricultural reform and the productive projects that are being implemented, as well as maximizing revenues, optimally exploiting unexploited assets and achieving appropriate economic returns from it.

 

This came during Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, chairing the meetings of the two boards of directors of the General Authority for Agrarian Reform, And the Agricultural Land Fund, to discuss some of the work related to the beneficiaries and the position of the Authority’s projects in the governorates.

 

During the meeting, Farouk followed up on the efforts to pump goods and food products into the Ministry’s ports, as well as the continuation of mobile convoys at the ports in the governorates. Various types, at reduced prices, to lift the burden on citizens, and contribute to reducing prices and fighting high prices.

 

For his part, Dr. Hassan Al-Fouly reviewed The head of the Agrarian Reform Authority discussed a number of topics related to agricultural reform, beneficiaries in the governorates, the position of revenues, and public benefit projects.

 

Al-Fouly confirmed the Authority’s success in achieving revenues exceeding 650 million pounds, during the months. The last six were also approved for leased areas through public bidding at a value exceeding 5.2 million pounds in the Buhaira District, where the highest bid for renting an acre reached more than 97 thousand pounds per year, while The lowest rental value was about 41 thousand pounds, with an overall average of 58 thousand pounds, an annual increase of 10%.

 

The Chairman of the Authority said that agricultural lands were also sold by public auction. And building lands in the villages of Beheira governorates, with a value exceeding 22 million pounds during the auction session held through the Government Services Authority last October, bringing a total general value exceeding 27.3 million pounds, for the benefit of the Treasury. The State.

 

The Authority’s Board of Directors ratified the decisions of the Beneficiary Violation Committee for five cases in an area of ​​11 acres that were returned to the authority’s jurisdiction due to their owners violating the purpose and disposing of it for others, encroaching on it, and taking all legal measures to dispose of it. By selling by public auction or rental auction, in addition to reviewing the work of legalization procedures in accordance with Law No. 182 of 2018, lands seized for squatters at a value 186 million for the benefit of the state treasury.

 

While the Council also agreed to allocate areas of land in the Sohag and Ismailia governorates, to establish projects for the public benefit, to facilitate citizens, and within the framework of cooperation between the relevant ministries. .

 

The Board of Directors also discussed the Authority’s budget for the Authority’s fiscal year 2025/2026, as well as discussing the work of the Agricultural Land Fund.
