The Medical Professions Union announces the monthly payment of pensions totaling 190 million pounds
Dr. Mohamed Alaa, Secretary-General of the Medical Professions Union, which includes unions (human doctors, dentists, pharmacists, and veterinarians), said that the Union Council decided to approve the proposal submitted to pay the Union’s monthly pension to members and their families, at the rate of 1,500 pounds every month, starting next month. January 2025, instead of disbursing it every 3 months.
The Secretary-General confirmed The Union stated that the total value of the amounts that the Union will spend on pensions monthly will reach 190 million per month, with 2 billion and 280 million annually for members and their families, as the number of members eligible for pension from the four unions and their families reached about 121,688 members.
He pointed out that A medical services company was not approved in the name of the Union of Medical Professions, but what was stated in the Council’s decision is that in view of the decision of the Union’s General Assembly on October 14 2022, by banning investment, it was decided to initially approve the study of the proposal submitted to establish a medical services company in the name of the Union of Medical Professions, including the establishment of medical laboratories in the name of the Union, management of treatment projects for others, and the establishment of a medical insurance company, provided that it is first presented to the General Assembly for approval or not.< /p>
