Under the generous patronage of His Eminence the Grand Imam, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, the Center for Preparation and Development of Teachers of the Holy Qur’an at Al-Azhar Mosque will launch, next Saturday, the first meetings of the Ten Recitations Forum, which will be held on a daily basis after the afternoon prayer, in the Al-Azhar Mosque.
Professor Dr. Abdel Moneim Fouad, General Supervisor of Scientific Activities of the Al-Azhar Corridor at Al-Azhar Mosque, stated that this program comes within a series of activities and programs organized by the Center for the Preparation and Development of Teachers of the Holy Qur’an at Al-Azhar Mosque, and aims to read the Qur’an. The Holy Qur’an is complete with the ten recitations, half a portion per day, with a detailed explanation of the recitation and an introduction to the origins and doctrines of the reciters. The forum will also focus on pointing out brush words that are disputed among the reciters, which contributes to enhancing a deep understanding of the ten frequent recitations, and raising the level of recitation among the participants.
In the same context, Dr. explained. Hani Odeh, Director General of Al-Azhar Mosque, said that the ten readings are considered an essential part of the Islamic heritage, as they reflect the diversity of correct frequent readings in the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, and this diversity aims to spread Qur’anic culture and teach correct reading methods, indicating that the program seeks to provide an educational platform. Interactive, which helps spread awareness of the importance of controlling and mastering reading.

< p>The forum is supervised by Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim Saleh, Chairman of the Holy Qur’an Review Committee, and His Eminence Sheikh Hassan Abdul Nabi Iraqi, Deputy of the Qur’an Review Committee, and a group of professors of recitations and its sciences from the College of Holy Qur’an Sciences at Al-Azhar University participate in providing the explanation and recitation, in addition to A number of members of the Noble Qur’an Review Committee, imams of the Qibla at Al-Azhar Mosque, and sheikhs of reciters in the Al-Azhar corridor. The forum is also run by researchers specialized in the science of readings at Al-Azhar Mosque, which ensures the provision of high-quality scientific content.
This comes in accordance with the directives of His Eminence the Grand Imam A. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, and with the approval of His Eminence Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Duwaini, Undersecretary of Al-Azhar, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdel Moneim Fouad, General Supervisor of Scientific Activities of the Al-Azhar Corridor at Al-Azhar Mosque, and Dr. Hani Odeh, Director General of Al-Azhar Mosque.
