Brendan Rodgers insists he’s greedy for more from his team – despite watching them put six goals past Dundee in a polished display.
Edging ahead though Arne Engels’ VAR-awarded penalty, Celtic added a second in first-half stoppage time through Adam Idah.
Daizen Maeda took his tally for the season to 18 with a second-half double before Engels added a fifth and sub Nicolas Kuhn wrapped up the scoring.
The champions are now 13 points ahead at the top of the table with just 13 games remaining and, while Rodgers was delighted with the display, he told his players he wants them to deliver even more.
‘I thought from minute one to the 93rd minute we were outstanding in the game – our hunger and mentality,’ he said.
‘I said the other day that we’ve got a different mindset defensively and that obviously creates the platform for our football tonight.

It’s 1-0 for Celtic as Arne Engels scores the first goal against Dundee from penalty spot
‘Some of the goals were so good and just our general play was outstanding.
‘I think Daizen’s on 18 goals, with a numbers of assists. Nicolas is on 17 goals. I don’t know how many assists, but he’s got a lot.
‘Adam getting his goal, you see him now, he’s moving differently and he’s just freed up a bit. He’s wanting to really prove a point and show that he’s the No 9 here consistently for Celtic.
‘That’s always been our aim. But I’m obviously greedy and I want more. I want more players and I want to keep our levels and to keep improving.
‘Because it’s not just about each week and each month. It’s each game we want to improve and be the best that we can.’
Even six goals ahead with nine minutes remaining, Celtic’s appetite for more goals wasn’t diminished.
‘The team was hungry.’ added Rodgers. ‘I think we knew when we played Dundee before that we were okay going forward. We scored three goals but, defensively, it wasn’t quite good.
‘But tonight you see we hunted the game in packs and got numbers around the ball, winning it back and sustained the attacks. Some of our goals were a joy to see.’

Maeda wheels away after scoring his second goal which Rodgers felt was best of the night
On a night when the standard of Celtic’s goals was remarkable, Engels’ second, Maeda’s second and Kuhn’s strike were all contenders for the best on show.
Asked which one he felt topped the lot, Rodgers said: ‘I think Daizen’s (second) was a great goal. Why? Because it starts right in the very corner.
‘We’re under pressure. Dundee are there, they want to press. We stay calm, we connect the game, take it out, get it out the other side. Arne’s pass and then probably no one would see Daizen scoring a goal like that.
‘But what a finish it was. So, yeah, that was a great goal. As was Nick’s.’
Rodgers is pleased with the position his side hold in the league, but will take nothing for granted.
‘We can’t complain because I think that, until this moment now, we’ve had an absolutely outstanding season,’ he said.
‘Like you say, 13 games left, 13 points clear, a big goal difference, which is always worth a point in itself.

Rodgers was delighted with the display but says he is greedy for more from his players
‘I’ve always said it’s really about narrowing in the focus at this point of the season. Keep your hunger, keep your humility and keep thinking of performance. That was the message this evening.’
Dundee boss Tony Docherty, whose side crashed to consecutive 6-0 defeats after suffering the same scoreline against Hearts last Saturday, said: ‘It was a tough one in the end.
‘Their pride will be dented and I want that to be the case – but we don’t suddenly become a bad team.
‘We take full responsibility and we have to be more resolute defensively, but we need to get back on the horse now.’
