The Islamic Affairs Council holds seminars for Djibouti students

 

The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs held an intellectual forum for students coming from the State of Djibouti, within the framework of the pioneering and educational role undertaken by the Council, under the auspices of  Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, and under the supervision of the Secretary-General of the Council  Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rahim Al-Bayoumi. The meeting was moderated by Dr. Nour El-Din Qenawy, Head of the Council’s Central Department for Foreign Relations, and the forum began with blessed Qur’anic verses from rare recordings of great reciters.  

 

The Council received the incoming students with a speech Welcoming speech delivered by the Secretary-General on behalf of  Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, in which he stressed the importance of the role played by the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in spreading enlightened thought and promoting cultural and religious values. He also referred to the various activities organized by the Council, including cultural salons, educational camps, and the showing of documentary films that highlight the Council’s contributions in various fields.  

 

The Forum organized a lecture An introductory session that addressed the Council’s priorities and its scientific and cognitive history, in addition to talking about its role in preserving Islamic heritage. Dr. Seymour, Chairman of the Egyptian-Azerbaijani Friendship Association, delivered a speech in which he expressed his deep thanks to the Secretary-General of the Council for this blessed meeting, expressing his overwhelming happiness to return to the atmosphere of the Council that he had known since 1997, when he attended Abu Bakr al-Siddiq’s camp in Alexandria.  

 

Dr. Hassan Khalil, Director General of Manuscript Collection and Verification at the Council, praised the During his speech, the council played the role of Egypt as a window to the Islamic world, highlighting its efforts in issuing scientific books and encyclopedias such as the book: “Paths of Guidance and Rashad” and “Encyclopedia of Islamic Jurisprudence.” He pointed out that the Council holds cultural salons and issues two magazines, “Minbar al-Islam.” And “Paradise”; Which enhances its role in spreading knowledge and heritage. Spiritual, stressing their appreciation for the efforts made by the Council to strengthen their connection with the Egyptian Islamic heritage. Copies of the Council’s valuable publications were distributed; As an expression of his keenness to provide knowledge and strengthen the connection between foreign students and the sources of enlightened moderate Islamic thought.
