The Iraqi Foreign Ministry: 4,000 Iraqis have returned from the Belarusian-Lithuanian border
Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein said that the country’s government has repatriated about 4 thousand Iraqis who found themselves in the border area between Belarus and Lithuania.
“In cooperation with the European Union, including Lithuania, we were able to return up to 4,000 Iraqi migrants trapped on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border,” Hussein said.
He pointed out that part of the Iraqis are still in Lithuania, and that the Iraqi government is still waiting for their decision to return voluntarily to Baghdad.
