The House of Representatives Industry approves a technical support agreement for industrial zones in leather, furniture and marble
The Industry Committee of the House of Representatives, headed by Representative Mohamed Mustafa Al-Sallab, approved the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt’s Resolution No. 438 of 2024 approving the “Technical Support for Industrial Zones for Leather, Furniture and Marble” agreement. Between the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Government of the Republic of Italy and signed on 3/17/2024.
This came during the committee meeting today, with the participation of the offices of the Economic Affairs Committees, and Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises. Small businesses, local administration, education and scientific research, foreign relations, energy and the environment, in the presence of representatives from a number of government agencies.
And during At the meeting, Imad Abdel Hamid, Assistant Minister of Industry, revealed the details of the agreement, noting that it is a technical support grant worth 3 million euros, through the Italian Agency as the donor and implementing agency.
He pointed out that the agreement aims to enhance the production capacity of industrial zones in the leather, furniture and marble sectors, by focusing on technology and raising the efficiency of workers, which contributes to increasing production and improving Quality.
For his part, Representative Mohamed Mustafa Al-Sallab, Chairman of the Industry Committee in the House of Representatives, stressed the importance of the agreement in promoting the entry of technology into industry in the three sectors, in a way that enhances and increases the quality of production. 
The representative said: Egypt, at this stage, is making great efforts to achieve sustainable development in all sectors, in a way that achieves the advancement of the Egyptian economy.
