The head of the Pharmaceutical Authority follows up on the drug market with government pharmaceutical companies

Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawi, Chairman of the Egyptian Medicines Authority, met today, Wednesday, with Dr. Olfat Ghorab, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Company for Pharmaceutical Industries and Medical Supplies, Acadima and Group, in the presence of Dr. Hanan Amin, Head of the Central Administration for Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Amani Jawdat, Assistant to the Chairman of the Commission and Supervisor of the Central Administration of the Office of the Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Asma Fouad, Head of the Central Administration for Biological and Innovative Preparations and Clinical Studies, Dr. Osama Hatem, Assistant Chairman of the Authority for Policy and International Cooperation Affairs and Supervisor of the Central Administration for Pharmaceutical Policies and Market Support, Dr. Widyan Younis, Head of the Central Administration for Pharmaceutical Control, Dr. Hossam Abdullah, Assistant Chairman of the Authority for Market Support and Follow-up Affairs, and from the Acdima Group, Dr. Ahmed Kilani, President of EPICO, Dr. Ahmed Laila, Chairman of the Medical Professions Company, Dr. Adel Al-Khabiri, President of SEDICO, Dr. Hisham Abdel Aziz, Managing Director of October Pharma, Dr. Osama Henedy, President of Mepaco.

This comes in light of the Authority’s keenness to provide all means of support to develop the production capacity of companies affiliated with the Arab Company for Pharmaceutical Industries and Medical Supplies “ACDEMA” To cover the needs of the Egyptian pharmaceutical market, and open new export markets in many countries, as the company is one of the important national entities for the advancement of pharmaceutical industries. During the meeting, proposed mechanisms were discussed to overcome the challenges and obstacles facing the pharmaceutical sector in Egypt, which is reflected in the provision of medicine with high quality and prices. It is fair and meets the needs of the Egyptian citizen, and does not burden his economic capabilities.

The Chairman of the Authority praised the company’s efforts and its role in providing medical preparations and supplies, stressing the company’s continued technical and procedural support to ensure the availability of important and strategic preparations, as well as supporting the transfer of pharmaceutical manufacturing technology in cooperation with… International companies in light of the manufacturing and production capabilities of the companies’ factories, which contributes to achieving self-sufficiency in important preparations and reducing the size of their import bill.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chairman of the Authority stressed the Egyptian Medicine Authority’s keenness to continue developing and localizing the pharmaceutical industries. And medical supplies according to the latest international standards.
