The head of the Medical Syndicate participates in the “Human Rights” conference on promoting and protecting reproductive rights

The head of the Medical Syndicate, Dr., confirmed that Osama Abdel-Hay, the union pledged to adopt policies approved by the National Council for Human Rights, which would advance the health of women, children, and the Egyptian family.

 

Dr. added. Osama Abdel-Hay, during his speech at a conference organized by the National Council for Human Rights in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund, entitled “Promoting and Protecting Reproductive Rights in Egypt,” said that doctors, especially in rural areas, can change the outlook towards all inappropriate customs with the development of society, whether child marriage. Or female circumcision or anything else.

 

He pointed out that doctors in rural areas play a major role in raising awareness of the danger of these customs, pointing out the union’s commitment to all policies. Which would develop our society.

 

He stressed that economic and social human rights are among the most important rights, and can never be separated from political rights, pointing to the readiness of the General Syndicate of Doctors and its sub-unions in the various governorates. Cooperation with the National Council for Human Rights.

 

For her part, the President of the National Council for Human Rights, Ambassador Moushira Khattab, thanked the head of the Medical Syndicate, Dr. Osama Abdel-Hay, on the role of the Syndicate in cooperating with the Council.

 

She praised the efforts of the Doctors Syndicate and its role in seeking to approve a fair law for medical liability, stressing that the National Council for Human Rights was one of the first institutions Which cooperated with the Doctors Syndicate to demand a disciplinary law for medical liability.

 

It stressed that providing good health care to citizens is inseparable from providing A safe work environment for doctors, in light of a fair law of medical responsibility that befits Egypt and its doctors, stressing that Egyptian doctors are among the best doctors in the world and must be preserved and their migration abroad be limited, because they are among the highest national wealth that Egypt possesses.

 

The Vice President of the National Council for Human Rights, Dr. Mahmoud Karem thanked the President of the Doctors Syndicate for the Syndicate’s role in cooperating with the National Council for Human Rights.

 

I also directed the Secretary of the Social Rights Committee of the National Council for Human Rights, Dr. Wafaa Benjamin thanks the President of the Medical Syndicate for his efforts and the Syndicate Council in the draft law on medical liability and patient safety.
