The Head of the Journalists Syndicate signs a consulting contract for the Journalists City with the Cairo Engineering Design Center
Khaled Al-Balashi, head of the Journalists Syndicate, and members of the Journalists Syndicate Council, Hisham Younis, Mohamed Kharaja, and Ayman Abdel Majeed, signed a consulting contract for the Journalists’ City on October 6 at the Syndicate’s headquarters today, Tuesday, with the Center for Engineering and Architectural Design at the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University.
Al-Balshi said – in a statement – The selection of the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University as a consultant for the project was through a tender that was issued, indicating that the offer represented the lowest prices in the market, and that the syndicate would prepare a booklet of conditions to choose the appropriate real estate developer.
He stressed that financial, technical and engineering efficiency was the reason for choosing the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University to establish the Journalists’ City, noting that this project has been stalled for many years and the General Assembly of the Journalists Syndicate has been waiting for it.
For his part, Muhammad Kharaja, Chairman of the Housing Committee, said that about 600 members are participating in the project, calling for speedy completion, presentation of the general plan, and issuing a tender to the real estate developer so that the journalist has a vision that the project has begun and work is underway.
In turn, Dr. Hossam Abdel Fattah, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University, said that he was honored by the trust to obtain this project, which is an addition to the credit of the university and the college.
