The Head of the Engineers Syndicate confirms the union’s support and devoting all its capabilities to the localization of the electric car industry in Egypt

In his speech during the activities of the first conference on the future of the smart transportation industry in Egypt, which was held by the Syndicate at the conclusion of the activities of the Egypt International Summit for Electrical Means of Transport, Engineer Tariq Al-Nabrawy, Head of the Syndicate of Engineers, expressed his happiness at the completion of this conference, which expresses the Syndicate’s interest in Engineers with everything new in the field of engineering, stressing that the localization of the electric car industry in Egypt is one of the very important topics.

The head of the Engineers Syndicate promised that the Syndicate would support this promising industry with all its capabilities and the engineering expertise and specialists it possesses in all its branches and committees. He said: “We were late in many areas previously, but today we have a good opportunity with the Egyptian engineers and manufacturers we have to achieve tangible progress in this field.”

He concluded his speech by thanking and greeting those who contributed to the completion of the Egypt International Media Summit. Electric transportation and the conference, hoping that Egypt during the coming period will be among the leading countries in the electric car industry.

For his part, Engineer Mahmoud Arafat, Secretary General of the Engineers Syndicate, confirmed that the first conference for the future of the smart transportation industry in Egypt, which The union is holding it on the sidelines of the Egypt International Summit for Electric Transport. It comes within the framework of the great efforts made by the Egyptian state in the field of localization of the electric car industry and smart transportation, a sector that receives great attention and care from His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and Mr. Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Development. Industrial Minister of Industry and Transport, within the state’s strategy towards sustainable development 2030,  With the aim of reducing carbon emissions to create a smart, green future, and to make Egypt a regional center in this sector through partnerships between the Egyptian, Arab and foreign public and private sectors.

Arafat explained: Smart, green, sustainable transportation solutions have become an integral part of national and regional strategies, in an era characterized by accelerating technological development, stressing that  Smart transportation is not just a modern technology, but rather a comprehensive vision that aims to improve the quality of life and facilitate movement in cities, and depends on understanding the needs of society and adapting to climate, environmental and economic changes and to the increasing challenges facing major cities.

The Secretary General of the Syndicate explained Engineers, that organizing this conference reflects the deep belief in the importance of the role of Egyptian engineers in leading this transformation and harnessing their experiences and creativity to serve the nation, saying, directing his speech to the engineers: “You are the driving force behind this transformation, and you are the ones who will shape the future of Egypt,” indicating that the conference aims to provide A platform for exchanging experiences and knowledge between experts, engineers and researchers in the field of smart transportation, reviewing the latest technological developments in the field of smart transportation, and highlighting the practical applications of this technology. The conference also discusses the challenges facing the implementation of the smart transportation project in Egypt, and identifies the investment opportunities available in this. field, and developing future visions for the development of the transportation sector in Egypt in line with sustainable development goals.

Arafat said: “The Engineers Syndicate is committed to supporting and encouraging scientific research and development in the field of smart transportation and providing all capabilities for the success of this conference.” It also works to raise engineers’ awareness of the importance of this field, and to qualify them to work in projects related to it.” He concluded his speech by looking forward to fruitful discussions and results of the conference, coming up with constructive, realistic and implementable recommendations, and calling for strategic partnerships between all those involved in the field of smart transportation to promote innovation and develop sustainable solutions.< /p>

During his speech, Engineer Ahmed Mahran – Executive Director of the Conference and Chairman of the Communications, Information Technology and Digital Transformation Committee at the Cairo Engineers Syndicate, affirmed  The conference represents a real turning point in Egypt’s journey towards a more sustainable and efficient future and a departure towards new horizons of innovation and development, adding that the wise directions of Egypt, headed by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, are clear in this regard, and that Egypt’s 2030 plan places the shift towards sustainable transport at the forefront. Its priorities are based on the belief in the importance of this sector in achieving comprehensive and sustainable development. He explained that the conference constitutes an ideal platform for exchanging experiences and ideas, and building new partnerships that contribute to advancing development in Egypt.

He added: The localization of the smart transportation industry in Egypt is not just an option, but rather an urgent necessity to achieve sustainable development and raise its position on the map. Globalization, as it will open new horizons for economic growth, provide job opportunities for youth, and contribute to reducing carbon emissions and protecting the environment, which requires concerted efforts and close cooperation between the government, the private sector, and social circles.

Engineer Ahmed Mahran also thanked the Captain of the Engineers for his support. He continued to develop the profession and the union’s support for this conference, offering thanks and appreciation to the members of the Communications and Information Technology Committee, and all the committees working to make this event a success, and to the coalition organizing the Egypt International Summit for Electric Mobility, noting that the union’s support for this conference reflects its belief in the importance of this vital sector, calling Egypt’s engineers call for continuing research and innovation, and developing innovative solutions that contribute to advancing development in Egypt, stressing that Egypt possesses distinguished human competencies represented by its engineers, calling on young engineers to make the most of the experiences and knowledge that will be exchanged, and to engage in  This promising field, calling on universities and research institutions to increase  Paying attention to research and studies in the field of smart transportation, provided that it is in cooperation with sectors and entities  Economy working in this field,  As well as local and foreign investors to invest in this promising sector, and benefit from the incentives that  It is provided by the government to encourage investment in this field.

In the same context, Engineer John Ghaly, rapporteur of the Communications, Information Technology and Digital Transformation Committee, thanked everyone who contributed to organizing the conference’s activities, especially the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate for its great support for the conference. He also directed Salute to the sponsoring companies and all the leaders who contributed to the participation, and to the university youth teams that proved that Egypt has never and will never run out of thinking minds.

While Engineer Mohamed Tharwat – President of the Beni Suef Engineers Branch Syndicate and Deputy Executive Director of the conference, thanked everyone who He contributed to the success of this important event, saying: “The conference activities witnessed discussions and dialogues full of ideas and visions that will contribute to shaping the future of smart mobility in Egypt,” stressing that Egypt today is on the cusp of a new phase in the transportation sector, as electric cars and smart transportation means have become It is an indispensable necessity for achieving environmental sustainability and supporting the national economy.

In turn, Dr. Engineer Ayman Al-Dabaa, Chairman of the Transport and Traffic Planning Committee at the General Syndicate of Engineers, confirmed that holding the first conference on the future of the smart transportation industry in Egypt is consistent with the vision of the Syndicate of Engineers. To fulfill its role as a technical consultant for the state, as well as its role in the field of preparing and training engineers and informing them of developments in various engineering fields, as well as creating appropriate and convenient job opportunities for young engineers, stressing that there will be a positive impact in developing and localizing the smart transportation industry.

At the end of the opening remarks, Mr. Mohamed Al-Saidi, President of the Alliance organizing the conference, thanked and saluted the Engineers Syndicate, which was strongly supportive of the summit and conference activities.
