Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Healthcare Authority, chaired a high-level session entitled “The Medical and Health Sector: A Strategic Sector for Partnerships between France and Egypt.” Within the activities of the Egyptian-French Business Forum.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobki reviewed the business models and opportunities available for the private sector to participate in the comprehensive health insurance system during the forum. He also highlighted the sectors of infrastructure development, informatics, and care. Primary health care, private medical insurance, and hospital management are promising areas for participation with the private sector.
Dr. El-Sobky highlighted the role of Egyptian-French cooperation in achieving comprehensive health coverage and supporting the implementation of the comprehensive health insurance project through cooperation with the French Development Agency (AFD) and the Agency. Al-Sabki stressed that partnerships between the government and private sectors in the health sector are a fundamental approach for the General Authority for Health Care to achieve sustainability, pointing out that there are three business models that enhance this partnership.< /p>

The head of the Health Care Authority confirmed that Egypt is in a golden stage to attract foreign investments in the health sector, which enhances the role of the private sector and provides a stimulating investment environment.
He pointed out that the Egyptian political leadership attaches great importance to supporting investment and sustainable development. Al-Sobky continued: Egyptian-French relations are witnessing strength in multiple fields, the most important of which is health care, pointing out that the forum is an important platform for highlighting Egypt’s successes in health reform and enhancing cooperation with international partners.
