Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobky, Chairman of the General Authority for Health Care and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Project, conducted a surprise night tour of the Authority’s health facilities in Suez Governorate, to follow up on the progress of work and ensure the provision of the best services and health care to citizens, after the official start of operation of the health insurance system. During the tour, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobki inspected the Suez Medical Complex, where the tour included emergency departments, evening clinics, and care services. The center, internal departments, and diagnostic departments, and was assured of the quality of services provided and the availability of the necessary equipment to ensure efficient performance and meet patients’ needs immediately.
The head of the authority also surveyed citizens’ opinions about the speed and quality of services provided in the reception and emergency departments of the medical complex, He conducted a simulation of an accident reception; To ensure the capabilities of the complex’s emergency crews in dealing quickly and accurately with accidents. The head of the authority also assigned the administration of the medical complex to double the evening clinics, especially in the specialties of children, internal medicine, women and obstetrics, with the aim of reducing crowding during the evening.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki held a meeting with the evening director, heads of clinical departments, doctors, and the authority. Nursing and support departments at the Suez Medical Complex, where he listened to their opinions on ways to develop services and provide better health care to patients, and stressed the importance of teamwork as a single medical team, with a focus on providing distinguished health services and achieving the highest satisfaction rates. among citizens.
Dr. Al-Sabki indicated that the Authority’s health facilities in Suez Governorate provided more than 1.5 million medical and therapeutic services, which reflects the system’s success in meeting citizens’ health needs.
He added that More than 72% of citizens in Suez were registered within the comprehensive health insurance system in the governorate, which reflects citizens’ confidence in the level of services provided.
He explained that the comprehensive health insurance system contributed to making a shift. The quality of health services in the governorate, as the capacity of health facilities was doubled by 226% for beds, 170% for intensive care, and 44% for nurseries. He stressed that the Authority continues to expand services to meet patients’ needs and aspirations.
He pointed to the opening of the Chemotherapy Department for Oncology and the increase in the capabilities of laboratories in the complex, stressing that the Authority continues to develop health services to achieve the highest standards of quality and citizen satisfaction in the Suez Governorate.< /p>
During his inspection tour, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki was accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Hammad, Advisor to the President of the Authority for Health Policies and Systems and Director General of the General Administration of the Technical Office of the President of the Authority, and Dr. Muhammad Shaaban, Director of the Evaluation and Follow-up Department.
