The Governor of Qalyubia honors the world champions in modern pentathlon and swimming at Banha Club

This evening, Engineer Ayman Attia, Governor of Qalyubia, witnessed the activities of Banha Sports Club’s celebration honoring those who achieved advanced positions in the Modern Pentathlon World Championship (swimming – running – shooting) at Banha Sports Club, and the Kung Fu champions at Toukh Sports Club and Qalyoub Club, in the presence of Dr. Walid El-Faramawy, Director General of Youth and Sports, Major General Tariq Maher, Chairman of the Banha City Council, and Dr. Musabah Al-Kahili, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banha Sports Club, Abdul Khaleq Zaaza, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Toukh Club, and members of the Board of Directors of Banha Club.

Qalyubia Governorate explained, in a statement, that the celebration comes within the framework of the governorate’s keenness to encourage sports, as the celebration included honoring 10 players who achieved advanced positions in the modern pentathlon world championship (swimming – running – shooting), and honoring 6 coaches in charge of training the players who achieved Advanced positions in the World Pentathlon Championship. It also included a celebration honoring the players who achieved advanced positions in the African Kung Fu Championship at Toukh Sports Club and Qalyoub Club.

Engineer Ayman Attia, Governor of Qalyubia, congratulated and thanked the players, coaches and parents, stressing his keenness to support sports talent at the governorate level, in accordance with the directives of the political leadership to support and sponsor sports champions to represent Egypt in all international forums and reach the podiums, emphasizing the role of sports in creating a generation. He is healthy and physically capable and loves his country, in addition to the role of sport in keeping away from extremism and destructive ideas, as well as contributing to building the future within the framework of the state’s endeavor to build the new republic.

The ceremony included starting with the national anthem, reciting verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by welcoming speeches to the attendees, then honoring the sporting heroes, exchanging shields and gifts, and taking souvenir photos, amid a large crowd of parents, artistic and show performances, and a festive atmosphere from the club members and players.

It is noteworthy that honoring sports heroes and paying attention to youth and sports activities comes under the patronage of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Engineer Ayman Attia, Governor of Qalyubia, and the supervision of Dr. Walid Al-Faramawy, Director General of Youth and Sports in Qalyubia.
