The Governor of Gharbia is following up on efforts to control a fire in a textile factory

Major General Ashraf Al-Jundi, Governor of Gharbia, noticed smoke rising from one of the textile factories in the village of Al-Raheen, during his inspection tour of the Samannoud Center, which revealed the outbreak of a fire inside the factory, and the governor rushed to intervene immediately, directing the summoning of the civil protection forces, which were able to control the fire and prevent its spread. In the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Issa, Deputy Governor, Major General Ahmed Anwar, Secretary General of the Governorate, and Engineer Ali Abdel Sattar, Assistant Secretary General.

Immediately upon discovering the fire, the governor contacted the operations room of the National Emergency and Public Safety Network control center at the General Office, where a number of fire trucks were immediately dispatched, which worked intensively to control the incident within record time. A large number of ambulances and all relevant agencies in the governorate were also dispatched. To assist civil protection in firefighting work, the competent authorities cut off gas and electricity from the area surrounding the fire.

The soldier directed the committee to inspect vulnerable facilities, examine and review civil protection and fire requirements, determine the extent of losses, and take the necessary legal measures, stressing the need to inventory all similar factories in the governorate, ensure that they comply with safety and security conditions, and take the necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such accidents.

Citizens praised the governor’s efforts and his direct presence at the accident site, stressing that this quick reaction contributed to reducing damage and saving lives. This accident is another example of the executive leadership’s rapid response in the face of emergencies.
