The governor toured the market located behind the Green Salon in the city of Beni Suef, in which many exhibitors from companies, factories, and commercial chains participated, most notably: the National Company for Food Industries and Public Supplies, affiliated with the National Service Projects Authority, the Egyptian Company for Wholesale Trade, the Directorate of Agriculture, “Rural Development Products,” Agrarian reform, education, “technical education products in Nasser and Beni Suef agricultural schools,” companies: Al-Jamal, Al-Salam, Factory The Pearl, Al-Agouz Fish and Meat chain of stores, Primo Food Industries, Tabiyat Foodstuff Packaging and Distribution, Zavodz “Al-Aila Oil” factory, in addition to some merchants and owners of butcher shops, meat, fruit and vegetable shops and individuals.
The governor was keen to inspect all the bags and sections of the market, which includes all basic and strategic commodities, including: sugar, rice, pasta, cheese, dairy, pickles, local meat, poultry, frozen meat, meat processors, fish, detergents, halva, and edible oils of various sizes and types, in addition to… Meat is sold at 260 pounds per kilo, and poultry project products of table eggs are priced at 145 pounds. The governor exchanged conversations with a number of citizens who frequent the market, reassuring them about the prices and quality of the available goods, indicating that study and coordination will be conducted with the competent authorities from the Chamber of Commerce and Supply to hold the market on a regular basis, “one day every week,” while examining the possibility of expanding its holding.
