The Governor of Assiut inspects the effects of a limited fire in one of the rooms of the university city, Al-Azhar University branch
Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Governor of Assiut, accompanied by Dr. Mina Emad, his deputy, inspected the effects of a limited fire inside one of the rooms in the university city for students at the Al-Azhar University branch of Al-Waja Al-Qibli, which led to the burning of the contents of the room without causing any human casualties.
The Governor of Assiut had received a notification from the Crisis and Main Operations Room at the General Office stating that a fire had occurred in Room No. (416) on the fourth floor of the Omar Bin Al-Khattab Building, Ward (C) of the University City for Students, Al-Azhar University Branch of Upper Egypt, and that civil protection forces, fire trucks and ambulances had moved to the site of the fire. .
The governor immediately moved to the site of the accident, where civil protection forces controlled the fire in record time before it spread to neighboring rooms. There were no human casualties, and the losses did not exceed only some of the room’s furniture and contents. All necessary legal measures were taken regarding the incident.
The governor and his companions inspected the University City building and heard from university officials the circumstances of the incident that took place during the Friday noon prayer while the students were not in the residential rooms. The building was evacuated as a precaution and the facilities were disconnected. A report was prepared on the incident to investigate it through the competent authorities and the forensic laboratory was assigned to find out the causes of the fire. Submission to the competent prosecution.
