A year ago, it was good news for saving energy: state aid to buy thermostats connected to the radiators. But the government says stop, there has been too much fraud. This is a disappointment for some consumers. Amount of aid: up to 624 euros depending on the size of the accommodation. A boost and a good deal for scammers. One person in particular was a victim. A man who came to her house pretended to be an EDF agent. The thermostat never worked, but the crook pocketed the help.
The government is therefore ending the system a month earlier than planned. For professionals, it was the decision that had to be made. From 2027, all individuals must be equipped with a connected thermostat.
