The government agrees to establish a chamber for the development and reclamation of desert lands
Today, at the weekly government meeting in the New Administrative Capital, headed by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Council of Ministers approved a draft decision to establish a chamber under the name “Chamber for Development and Reclamation of Desert Lands,” affiliated with the Federation of Egyptian Industries.
The draft resolution stipulates that an industrial chamber shall be established called the “Chamber for Development and Reclamation of Desert Lands,” which will include desert land reclamation activities for the purpose of agriculture of various kinds and the activities of post-hoc centers. Harvesting within reclaimed desert lands, sorting, processing, cooling and packaging stations, establishing silos, grain warehouses and cotton gins, manufacturing organic fertilizers from agricultural waste within the scope of reclaimed desert lands, agricultural waste recycling activities, agricultural wastewater treatment, projects to combat desertification, and bioengineering activities for the purpose of stabilizing the soil and combating erosion.
