The Foreign Minister receives the Egyptian candidate for the position of Director General of UNESCO

Received d. Bader Abdel Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Dr. Khaled Al -Anani, former Minister of Tourism and Antiquities and the Egyptian candidate for the position of Director General of UNESCO and in the presence of Minister Commissioner Wael Abdel Wahab, Director of the Nomination Campaign, within the framework of the periodic meetings held by the Minister of Foreign Affairs to follow up the Egyptian nomination file. The Egyptian candidate, in addition to public support for many countries, as the meeting dealt with the future move plan for the nomination campaign and the electoral vision to be presented to UNESCO this month, in preparation for the elections that will be held in October 2025. & nbsp;

Minister Abdel -Ati confirmed during the meeting that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to mobilize regional and international support Al -Masry during the coming period, stressing Egypt’s right to obtain this high international position, taking into account its historical pioneering role at the educational, cultural and scientific levels, as well as its regional and international position.
