The Foreign Minister appreciates the role "China International Development Cooperation Agency" In supporting major projects in Egypt
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, appreciated the role of the “Chinese Agency for International Development Cooperation” In supporting major projects in Egypt, such as the light electric train (LRT) financing project, in addition to the project to manufacture and launch the “EgyptSat 2” satellite, as well as establishing the AIT satellite assembly and testing center in Egypt.
This came during the meeting held by the Minister of Foreign Affairs today, Friday, with “Lu Zhao Khoi” The head of the Chinese Agency for International Development Cooperation, on the sidelines of his current visit to Beijing.
The minister expressed his aspiration to benefit from the various financing mechanisms provided by China to implement more National development projects, especially since “Egypt’s Development Vision 2030” It is consistent with Chinese initiatives to achieve development in the countries of the South, and that the Chinese side is considered among the most important development partners for Egypt.
Dr. Abdel-Aty also touched on the prospects for enhancing joint cooperation with the Chinese Agency for Development Cooperation. Internationally, especially through the tripartite cooperation mechanism in Africa, pointing to the importance of building on the outcomes of the Forum for China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), as well as cooperating with the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development to train Egyptian cadres. And the African one with the aim of supporting human capabilities in the countries of the continent.
The Foreign Minister also discussed with the Chinese official ways to enhance joint cooperation in the field of space, and ways to support the African Space Agency hosted by Egypt.< /p>
On the other hand, the Minister of Foreign Affairs appreciated the Chinese agency’s important role in alleviating the burden of humanitarian crises in various parts of the world, especially in the Gaza Strip, whose humanitarian conditions have witnessed a significant deterioration, as In 2033, it provided urgent aid to the Gaza Strip through UNRWA, and food aid through the Egyptian Red Crescent in 2024.
