Some foreign newspapers and social media pages circulated news about the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities’ intention to hold a temporary exhibition of the possessions of the Golden King Tutankhamun in the Japanese capital, Tokyo. The Cabinet Media Center contacted the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, which denied the news.

She confirmed that there is no truth to the Ministry’s intention to hold a temporary exhibition of the possessions of the Golden King Tutankhamun in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, and that all the information circulating in this regard is incorrect and has no connection to reality, stressing However, the treasures of King Tutankhamun will remain inside Egypt in preparation for their complete display in the Grand Egyptian Museum, which is scheduled to be officially opened soon, without traveling outside Egypt in any temporary exhibitions, whether in Japan or in any other country, stressing that there are no negotiations or discussions between them. The Supreme Council of Antiquities works with any institutions or individuals in Egypt or abroad to hold an exhibition of King Tutankhamun’s belongings in Japan.
