The Egyptian Space Agency is looking to enhance cooperation with ISESCO to support sustainable development
The CEO of the Egyptian Space Agency, Dr. Sherif Sidqi, stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation with the Islamic World Organization for Education, Science and Culture (ISESCO) in the field of space science and its applications, because of this pivotal role in supporting sustainable development efforts and facing global challenges.
The agency stated – in a statement, today, Thursday – that this came during a meeting with Dr. Sherif Sidqi, with the Director General of ISESCO, Dr. Salem bin Muhammad Al -Malik, at the organization’s headquarters in Rabat, where the two sides discussed the prospects for joint cooperation, especially with regard to the development of training programs, Promoting research capabilities in the field of space in Islamic countries.
Dr. Sherif Sidqi reviewed the efforts of the Egyptian Space Agency in developing space technology locally and regional, through advanced research programs, as well as training courses targeting young people in Egypt and African countries. /P>
The CEO of the Egyptian Space Agency invited Dr. Salem Al -Malik to visit the agency’s headquarters in Cairo; To discuss ways of cooperation in developing educational curricula that depend on space science directed to students of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in the member states of the organization.
for his part .. Dr. Salem Al -Malik stressed the importance of developing space science in Islamic countries, noting Until (ISESCO) works to enhance its partnerships with international space institutions, such as the American Space Foundation and Space Agencies in Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
