The Egyptian Fatwa House participates in the thirty-fourth international conference of the Egyptian Philosophical Society
The Egyptian Fatwa House, in cooperation with the Egyptian Philosophical Society, opened the activities of the thirty-fourth international conference entitled “Islamic Philosophy: Its Present and Future in the World,” under the patronage of Dr. Nazir Ayyad, Mufti of the Republic, Head of the General Secretariat of Fatwa Houses and Bodies in the World, and Professor Dr. Mustafa El-Nashar, President of the Philosophical Society Egyptian.
The conference held in Cairo witnessed the presence of a number of prominent figures in the philosophical and scientific field, including Dr. Muhammad Al-Duwaini, Undersecretary of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, who represented His Eminence the Sheikh of Al-Azhar. Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, as well as Abdel Radi Radwan.
Dr. Ahmed Madi, former Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Jordan and President of the Jordanian Philosophical Society, delivered a speech to the guests, which he began by welcoming To the attendees and to extend thanks and appreciation to His Eminence the Mufti and Dar Al-Iftaa for hosting the conference.
Dr. Madi confirmed that this conference is the first of its kind in the Arab philosophical societies, praising the efforts of the Egyptian Philosophical Society, which was keen to organize this important annual event.
He added: “Egypt is the pioneer in the Arab world, culturally and philosophically, as Rifa’a al-Tahtawi said: “Egypt is the mother of the world” We thank God for bringing us together in this important conference that contributes to anticipating the future of Islamic philosophy."
The conference aims to shed light on the future of Islamic philosophy in the world and its pivotal role in confronting contemporary intellectual and cultural challenges, in addition to enhancing cooperation. Among thinkers and philosophers from various parts of the Islamic world.
