The Egyptian and Saudi Ministers of Health discuss developments in joint cooperation between the two countries
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, met with Dr. Fahd bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jalajel, Minister of Health of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to discuss developments in joint cooperation between the two countries in the health sector.
The meeting of the two ministers came on On the sidelines of the activities of the Fourth Global Ministerial Conference on Antimicrobial Resistance, which is hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the meeting exchanged experiences. And visions between the two countries, in addition to discussing the latest developments in the files being worked on in the health sector in the two countries, which contributes to the implementation of strategies that achieve each country’s vision towards improving the health system.
Abdul Ghaffar continued: The two ministers discussed expansion in the field of investments in the health sector, as well as cooperation in the areas of digital transformation of health services, comprehensive health insurance, and patient safety, to benefit from the successful experiences of the Saudi side in the field of health digitization.
Abdul Ghaffar noted: The meeting discussed opportunities for Egyptian-Saudi cooperation in the areas of localization of the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry, within the framework of the efforts of Arab countries towards achieving drug security for the Arab peoples.
And “Abdul Ghaffar” noted: The two ministers stressed the importance of sharing the successful health experiences of the two countries by holding working groups that include cadres from the two countries to exchange experiences and achieve the greatest mutual benefit.
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population added that the two sides discussed cooperation in order to continue providing support. Medical services for the brotherly Palestinian people, as a result of the events they are going through during their current crisis.
