Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, stated that the Deputy Minister reviewed the medical reports of all the injured, and was keen to visit the intensive care rooms that receive 8 critically injured cases.
He also visited 25 cases. Other injuries ranged from fractures to scattered abrasions to the body, confirming the stability of their health condition. Dr. Mohamed Al-Tayeb expressed his wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured, and offered his sincere condolences to the families of the students of Galala University who lost their lives in this painful accident.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar indicated that all the injured underwent the necessary medical examinations upon their arrival to the hospital, and are now under continuous medical observation for 24 hours. Pointing out that the Deputy Minister stressed the importance of providing psychological support to the injured, in addition to health care, to ensure the stability of their psychological and physical condition, stressing the need to continue providing the best medical services with the utmost speed and accuracy.
During his inspection tour, the Deputy Minister was accompanied by Dr. Mohamed Sharif Dawoud, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Suez, Dr. Amir Al-Talwani, Executive Director of the Health Care Authority, and Dr. Ismail Al-Hafnawi, Director of the Suez Health Care Authority branch.
It is worth noting that there is continuous coordination with Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Mohamed El-Shenawy, President of Galala University, to provide all necessary medical and non-medical services for injured students, during their stay in the Suez Medical Complex.
