The Deputy Foreign Minister participates in the inauguration ceremony of Ghana’s new president

Ambassador Abu Bakr Hafni Mahmoud, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Affairs Abroad, participated in the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Republic of Ghana, “John Mahama.” Which was held in the Ghanaian capital, Accra, on January 7, 2025, in the presence of Ambassador Ayman El-Desouki Youssef, Egyptian Ambassador to Ghana. 

Ambassador Abu Bakr Mahmoud conveyed President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s congratulations to his Ghanaian counterpart on the occasion of his election as President of the Republic of Ghana. This reflects the great confidence placed in him by the Ghanaian people and the belief in his leadership abilities and his insightful vision to achieve stability, development and prosperity for the people of Ghana. The Deputy Minister stressed Egypt’s aspiration to work with the elected Ghanaian president in order to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in various political, economic, investment and cultural fields and to coordinate common positions on the African arena and in International forums, praising the wisdom and skill of the Ghanaian President in dealing with the pressing issues facing the African continent, especially with regard to efforts to bring peace and stability to the west of the continent and Africa as a whole.
