The Council of Arab Economic Unity of the League of Arab States will hold the 118th regular meeting tomorrow, Thursday, at the ministerial level at the League’s headquarters in Cairo, in the presence of the permanent delegates of the member states of the Council.
The Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity, Ambassador Mohammadi Ahmed, said: The intention – according to today’s statement – is that the ministerial meeting comes under exceptional and difficult circumstances that the Arab region is going through, and it needs to make more efforts for Arab economic integration. In order to enhance the standard of living of citizens, facilitate the movement of intra-trade between all Arab countries and open new horizons towards achieving Arab economic growth that serves economic and social development projects in a way that achieves the plans and programs of the governments of the Arab countries and the aspirations of the Arab peoples.

He thanked President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the government and people of Egypt for the absolute support for the activities of the General Secretariat of the Economic Unity Council in Cairo, and for providing aspects of cooperation and overcoming all obstacles and impediments to the work of the Council.
