This November 20, the long-awaited trial of Pierre Palmade opens before the Melun Criminal Court. After months cloistered in silence, the comedian returns to the forefront of the media scene. And he is unrecognizable.
In February 2023, Pierre Palmade, who was driving under the influence of various narcotics, caused a serious road accident, shattering the life of a family who are now seeking compensation. It is in fact this Wednesday, November 20 that the trial of the 56-year-old actor opens, before the Melun criminal court.
Pierre Palmade weaned? “He gained a lot of weight.”
Muriel Robin’s former sidekick was appearing for involuntary injuries and faces, since he was already convicted in 2019 for driving under the influence of drugs, up to 14 years in prison and a fine of 200,000 euros. A situation of which the main person concerned does not seem entirely aware, according to some of those close to him. “He is convinced that he can come back (…) He minimizes the events a lot and thinks that he will be able to do his job again in the near future”declared one of them to BFMTV.
However, Pierre Palmade – who arrived at the trial by taxi, as we see in the video above – would be on the path to recovery from his addictions. “Pierre is now sober even if it is fragile, he went to the psychologist almost every day, he has regained his health regarding his addictions”said one of his last friends. “Pierre, however, gained a lot of weight because of his drug treatment,” he said, referring to a physical change in the comedian.
Pierre Palmade based in Bordeaux: he lives in a house “without ostentation”
Already riddled with debt before the accident he caused after a night out chemsexthe actor decided to sell his villa in Cély-en-Bière, near the Fontainebleau forest. Mecca of celebration and excess, the sale of this immense residence would have brought him “more than a million euros”.
Pierre Palmade therefore took the opportunity to settle with his sister Hélène, in Bordeaux, where he bought a house “without ostentation” in the Barrière de Bègles district. According to information from Parisianthe comedian would live today on 7,000 euros per month. Income from his copyrights and compensation paid to him by health insurance since his stroke. Described by a local resident as being “white as a stamp”he would be nothing more than a shadow of himself. “His world seems to have shrunk, to the point of fitting between the 300m that separate his doorstep and the local supermarket.”
