‘The Bombing Of Pan Am 103’: Netflix & BBC Release First Look At Series Starring Patrick J. Adams

Netflix and the BBC have released the first images of their Lockerbie disaster series, The Bombing of Pan Am 103featuring Suits star Patrick J. Adams.
The six-part World Productions-produced series follows the untold story of the Scottish-U.S. investigation into the 1988 terror attack, during which 270 people were killed when a bomb exploded on a flight en route from Heathrow to JFK.
The series (originally titled Lockerbie) leads up to this year’s jury trial of Abu Agila Masud, the man accused of making the bomb. Abdulbasset Al Megrahi is the only person convicted in connection with the disaster.

The Bombing of Pan Am 103 is made in association with MGM Television and Night Train Media. It was developed by MGM and Night Train alongside filmmaker Adam Morane-Griffiths, who initially brought the project to the partners alongside Sara Curran back in 2020.
Jonathan Lee, the novelist behind High Divewrote the BBC/Netflix drama alongside Gillian Roger Park (The Young Offenders), a Scottish screenwriter who penned two episodes. They draw on extensive interviews done by Morane-Griffiths, who spoke to Scottish police and U.S. investigative agencies.

Michael Keillor (Best Interests) directs, while Julia Stannard is the producer. The executive producers are Simon Heath and Roderick Seligman for World Productions; Steve Stark and Stacey Levin for Toluca Pictures; Adam Morane-Griffiths, Sara Curran, Herbert L. Kloiber for Night Train Media; Jonathan Lee, Michael Keillor; and Gaynor Holmes for the BBC. The co-executive producer is Joe Hill. Mona Qureshi and Manda Levin are leading for Netflix.
The Bombing of Pan Am 103 is the second major series on the Lockerbie disaster this year after Sky/Peacock drama Lockerbie: A Search For Truthstarring Colin Firth.
